In July of 2009, E had the opportunity to assist in the opening of a clean, sterile shop, Skinlab. Since the start of his apprenticeship, he has been tattooing daily which fuels his desire to push his ambitions and artistic abilities past the limits. While apprenticing, he learned the correct techniques to sterilize his equipment, the proper use of equipment, and the art of tattooing. In 2004, E started a formal apprenticeship at an award-winning shop, Wolf’s Fine Line, in Illinois. In his spare time, E was constantly doodling, drawing, sketching, painting, tagging… you name it. Show Lessīorn in Chicago, 'E', (yes, the letter E) has been infatuated with any kind of artwork since he was a child. You can find Alex at Electric Hive Tattoo & Inkporium on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday through Saturday. As well as, exploring different types of art and learning about different cultures. When Alex isn't at the shop, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends. After years of practice and determination, he has become a fully licensed tattoo artist. He completed his apprenticeship at Skinlab, learning and practicing in the skills he required to safely create beautiful tattoos.

In July of 2018, Alex took a leap of faith and and began his journey as a tattoo artist.

He continued to practice drawing in his free time and read everything he could, to learn more about the tattoo industry. At that moment, the first time he watched his father get a tattoo, Alex knew that becoming a tattoo artist was his passion. During his childhood, Alex grew up drawing cartoons and characters in his free time, just for fun but, his love for art transformed into something bigger as he grew older, and he began to go to tattoo shops, with his father, and watch him get tatted. Alex or has always been an art enthusiast ever since he was a child.
